Katana and sheath

Zero bug tolerance

The katana, a traditional Japanese sword, can take more than 18 months to make. It is made using high-quality steel which is repeatedly heated, forged, layered, folded, and tempered by the swordsmith until there are no defects. When the same devotion, mind-set and care is applied to the development of software, there can be no tolerance for bugs.

Strive to perfection

Every new iteration provides an opportunity for improvement. Through constant travel on the road, while keeping the destination in mind, perhaps one day perfection can be reached.

Help others and do no harm

It was the 14th Dalai Lama who said, “If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.” When the final product aids others, that which seemed mundane suddenly gives purpose.
